CTMH Technique Blog Hop: Blank Canvas

Welcome to this month's Technique Blog Hop!  If you are coming from Darlys Recker's blog you are on the right track!

This month's technique blog hop is to use a blank canvas (example found on page 32 of the Annual Inspirations).  I was asked to step out of my comfort zone and complete a "She Art" project.  It took me a little while to come up with what I wanted to do, but I am so glad I took the challenge!  Of course, I used my favorite paper, Seaside.  I chose Proverbs 31:25 which says "She is clothed in strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future" for my verse/quote.  I also used Seaside complements, Seaside assortment, and gold shimmer trim,

Hopscotch is found in Seasonal Expressions.  I have really enjoyed this paper pack and have used it a lot since it came out.  This card was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest.  You know how I love to find ideas there! I used one little stamp from March's Stamp of the Month, Choose Happy.

Music To The Eyes Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to this month's Technique Blog Hop!  This month's technique focus is on page 34 of Close To My Heart's Annual Inspirations Idea Book.  Use your journaling pen on your artwork.  Easy peasy and so cute!  If you are coming from Tonya's blog you are on the right track.  I chose to do card using C1600 Happy Birds and paper from Wanderful

I used my journaling pin to make swirlys from the birds and around the letters of my title.  I can see how it could be very easy to get carried away with the journaling pen!  After I took this picture, I added even more, but decided 'oops maybe it was too much!'  So, you get this picture.  On the card, I used our awesome ShinHan markers to color in the birds, flowers, and feather.  Also, there are gold sequins (one of my favorite accessories).

Thanks for looking and now hop on over to Judy Faye's blog, but before you go leave me a little comment, please!  Happy Hopping!

Heartfelt Sentiments CTMH Paper Focus Blog Hop: Wanderful

It's that time of the month again for the Heartfelt Sentiments Paper Focus blog hop.  If you came from Melissa Robinson's blog then you are hopping along just fine.  If you get lost along the way you can find the list of participants on her blog.

This month we are showcasing Wanderful.  I did a little poking around Pinterest and found some really cute layouts and cards using the paper pack.  My favorite ones came from Tina Lovell.  She always has cute ones!  So I scraplifted hers and changed the first one up a tiny bit.
