Birthday!

Birthday theme continues!  I wuv birthdays...mine, yours, my kids, my hubby's, my mom, my dad, my sister, my brother. It doesn't matter whose it is...I love birthdays.  Even as I get older, I still get a little giddy before mine, my kids and hubby's birthday.  When I was growing up, my parents always made a big deal about birthdays (probably because I wouldn't let them forget it was my birthday...about a month before I would start reminding them.  Wait...I still do that).  So, I try and do the same for my own kiddos.  Anyway, it made me so happy to see in the new idea book that there was a paper pack devoted to birthdays, Confetti Wishes.  Whoohoo!

Used a little bit of shimmer trim, Confetti Wishes accessories, and cricut bundle stamp set.

I cut the Happy Birthday out from one of the papers and used pop dots.

Love me some shimmer trim!!!

The following three are 3x3 size.

Now...for a little drawing.  Who can't use some cute birthday cards??  Like and share this FB post and be entered to win them.  Drawing will be on Sunday when my birthday week comes to a close. (booo!)

Confetti Wishes

This is my birthday week (yes, everyone should take a week to celebrate their birthday.  If you don't, you are missing out.)  This year since my birthday falls on a Wednesday, I get a pre-birthday weekend and a post-birthday weekend.   My husband humors me and plays along.
So, my theme on my blog this week will be birthday.
Every time I use a new paper pack I fall in love.  This paper pack is Confetti Wishes (and I always think...caviar dreams should follow that).  I also used Confetti Wishes complements and assortment.  Soo cute!  I scraplifted these two layouts from www.jeanettelynton.com.  She is the founder of CTMH and there is always fabulous ideas on her blog.  These are considered level 2, because there is NO stamping.  They were quick and easy to put together with the help of the complements and assortment.

Both layouts are of my daughter's several 14th birthday celebrations.  :)

Hope everyone has a fabulous week!!

Happy Saturday!

It is rare to be able to sleep in AND get a chance to create without much interruption (as I write that sentence my husband is chasing my son around my bedroom...I guess I spoke too soon) on a SATURDAY.  Mostly I worked on a blog hop that is coming on Wednesday...details to come.  :)  I recently bought several of our ShinHanArt markers and played with them a little bit today.  I am loving them, truly.  One of the things I made today:

Look how vibrant the colors are!  Makes me want to buy more stamp sets that I can color-fill by hand.

The stamp set is A Tree A1124 (real original name, CTMH!  HA!).
I used 9 different colors
Tender Pink
Cerulean Blue
Cherry Pink
Vivid Green
Golden Yellow
Turquoise Blue
Marine Blue
Pastel Green
Peacock Green

Hope your day has been a happy and productive one!!

This might look familiar...

Last week I took part in a blog hop with the Heartfelt Sentiments team.  I made this door hanger using the Chalk It Up paper pack.  I decided to do another one and give them to both of Brandon's teachers for a little back to school gift.

My girl has been very sick since Sunday morning, so I haven't had much time to work on CTMH.  Sorry for the repeat and kinda repeat artwork :)  I am hoping to get some more stuff done this week so I can share it with you!  I just purchased several of the new ShinHanart markers and I am in l.o.v.e.  They are fab.  I did use a few on the image above.

Hope you have a fabulous Thursday!!

Video Time!

I love the videos that CTMH has on youtube.com!  They are very informative.  The following is a brief look at the Picture My Life Scrapbooking Program (PML).  Ya'll know I love it.  Monica explains it much better than I do!

During the month of August, when you purchase any of the 13 available Picture My Life™ scrapbooking programs featured in the 2014–2015 Annual Inspirations idea book at their full retail price of $24.95, you are eligible to add your choice of 1 of 8 qualifying Memory Protectors™ 10-packs for just $3! Not So Scaredy

I wanted to figure out a way to use this paper pack without using it as a Halloween theme.  Success!  I haven't decided on a title yet.  Any suggestions?  I think it would be perfect for a teen girl/friends layout.  Luckily, I have one of "those" people in my house.  HA!  Otherwise, any other suggestions for themes for this layout?  I did get help on the design from CTMH.  If you would like one like this let me know!  I can show you how. :)

Here is Scaredy Cat paper pack.  Pretty cute...and more versatile than I thought it would be!

On the layout I also used Scaredy Cat Assortment and Black Striped Twill Ribbon.  Click on the link and it will take you right to it.

Welcome to the Heartfelt Sentiment's paper packet blog hop.  This month we feature Chalk It Up!  If you are coming from Marianne you are on the right track. I love this new kit we are showcasing.  So cute!  Just in time for those first days of school photos we are all taking (whether our children are happy about that or not!).  I chose to make a first day of school teacher's gift.  I cut out the door hanger using the Cricut Art Philosophy (Pg 25 Fit to Page).  The paper background was cut from Cricut Artbooking (pg 42 cut at 4") and stamped with an image from Take Note (D1574).

The stamped image is from Great Job (C1588).  I used Black Ink and the brand new ShinHan Touch Twin Markers--Y222 Golden Yellow and B68 Turquoise Blue.   I also used a blending pen  for those colors I don't have in markers yet.  I am loving these new markers!!
I cut the images out and glued it to the paper.  I then added puffy stickers from the
Chalk It Up Assortment (Z3009).

I put some microwave popcorn in the sleeve of the door hanger.  It fit perfect.  As soon as I find out what their favorite drink is, I will hang this hanger from the bottle.

Now hop on over to Debi's blog.  If you get lost along the way you can see a list of participants here

Chalk It Up Workshop On The Go

CTMH has a fabulous program that has been around for many years.  The Workshops on  the Go (WOTG) are fantastic for making your pages look professional!  The kits run $29.95 and has everything you need to complete two (two-2 page layouts) layouts (and you always have leftovers to make cards or possibly even another 2 page layout if you add the base pages).  This is the Chalk It Up WOTG.  These are PERFECT for back to school pictures, etc.  Less than a week and I will be adding those type of pics to this workshop.  EEK!  Interested in completing your own WOTG's?  I can help you do them or you do can do them on your own.
